My name is Janice Camp. I have been employed with LaurelWoods as Executive Assistant for four years. I thoroughly enjoy working with the senior community! I live in Inman, S.C., and have been married for 23 years. I have one daughter and one son, as well as two grandsons. My favorite animals are cats and my favorite pastime would be anything related to NASCAR, dirt bike racing and riding Harleys.

I was born and have lived in Polk County all my life. I am married to
Judy. I previously worked for Coca Cola/Five Star for 34 years. I love
baseball and college basketball, especially the University of North Carolina.
I enjoy my job three days a week with LaurelWoods/LaurelHurst handling
transportation. I make doctors’ appointments for our LaurelWoods
residents and provide transportaion for all our residents in both communities.
I really enjoy interacting with the residents and getting to know them
and their interests. We have some very interesting conversations on the
way to the doctor appointments.

I was born and raised a Southern girl. I grew up in Shelby, N.C., attended
Cabarrus Hospital School of Nursing in Concord, N.C. I worked in Raleigh,
N.C., in medical surgery for one year, moved to Spartanburg, S.C., and
worked in labor/delivery for eight years, then moved to Charlotte, N.C.,
and worked in labor/delivery for four years. During all this time I had
three sons (Chip 21, Luke 17, and John Michael, 15). I moved to Columbus,
N.C., in 1998. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 24
years and would marry him again! I love baseball, NFL football, fishing
with my boys and traveling, and I find humor in almost everything.
