Culinary — Quetta Watson
My name is Jacquetta Watson and I am the Culinary Director here at LaurelHurst/LaurelWoods. I am a 24-year-old Johnson & Wales graduate with an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management. I have served several apprenticeships during and after graduation, one of which was at the Greenville Hilton. My favorite thing to do in my free time is spend it with family and friends. What I love most about my job is being able to show my creativity through food. I love the challenge of coming up with menus that are healthy but also taste great.

Resident Care Director — Rita Motter
Hello! My name is Rita Motter. I am a native of Spartanburg, S.C., and attended Boiling Springs High School. I have been married to Steve Motter for 29 years and we have three children, Kelley, April and Phillip. We also have seven grandchildren. My husband and I love to travel and have been to some wonderful places over the years, such as Hawaii. I have been in healthcare for 18 years, 11 years as a Resident Care Director and five of those here at LaurelWoods. My duties involve overseeing the management of our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Med Techs (certified to distribute medication). This type of work is so rewarding for me. I love to see the smiles on our residents’ faces when I or our staff is able to assist them with a small task they are no longer able to complete. It’s all about preserving their dignity and allowing them as much independence as possible.
